TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE 2

WEEK 1(November 20 - November 22)

DAY 1

According to the B.Ed curriculum the teacher training has to do teaching practice for 30 days in the 4th semester for 2nd phase of teaching practice I got a government hss punalur. first day of 2nd phase teaching practice had started on 2O. 11. 2024. I reached the school at an 9:00 a.m. we went to office room to hand over attendance register to the headmistress.
       Today was actually holiday for school, there was no classes for students due to certain insecurity problems in punalur. The education institutions in punalur where didn't function today, but a teachers we have to spend whole day in school. I utilised this day for completing my lesson plans and other works. 


DAY 2

 Today I took half day leave because at morning I had a PSC exam at a Kollam. So I went to attend that exam after that I reached the school at a 12:30 p.m.  Then I saw headmistress. Today I had period at 8C which was 6th period I took my LP -1 which was introduction for spherical mirrors of unit reflection of light in spherical mirrors of physics. I was already prepared with my lesson. It was my first class in second phase of teaching practice. I took class through simple experiments using mirrors and spoon it was very interesting for them. I already knew the students of 8C so it was very easy to interact with them. 

DAY 3

I reached the school at 9:15 a.m. and signed  the attendance register. I had 7th period at the 8C. I taught my LP-2. Which is technical terms of spherical mirrors and law of reflection in spherical mirror. I was prepared with my lessons I explain the concept of through figures. Sometimes it was difficulty to control the class because the students deviate from topic, seeking attention of students is atmost important in teaching. 

WEEKLY REFLECTION

This week was first week of the second phase teaching practice. In this week  there was only 3 days.  but two days are  working days. Wednesday was holiday for school due to some locality problems.  I got a two periods in this week for teaching physics. One on Thursday and second on Friday I taught my LP- 1and LP-2 at 8C this week was almost good.

CLASS REFLECTION

I got 2 periods in this week both the periods for physics. I taught introduction of spherical mirrors and a technical terms and laws of reflection of spherical mirrors of the chapter reflection of light in spherical mirrors of physics 8th class. Which was my LP- 1and LP-2  respectively.  The topics were easy and very interesting. So I believe that it didn't made modem for the students. The exciting experiments where include in lesson plan for making teaching effective That was very successful.

  WEEK 1   (14/08/2024 - 16/08/2024 ) As part of B.Ed curriculum first phase of teaching practice for 50 days started at Govt. HSS Punalur at 14/08/2024. DAY 1 Our first day of teaching practice started on 14.08.2024. I reached the school at 10.00 am. We went to see headmistress to handover the attendance register. Then we met our respective subject teachers to receive the classes and portions. Today I didn't get class hours or substitution hours. I have got an opportunity to be a part preparations of school parliamentary election. I was also be an invigilator for Aksharamuttam quiz competition in the school. At noon we served mid day meal to students. DAY 2  16/08/2024 was the second day of teaching practice. Today was school parliamentary election at morning first two hours. WEEK 7 ( January 20 - January 24)

DAY 26 (JAN 20)       Today I reached the school at a 9:00 a.m. and the signed the attendance register. Today I got a period to take a class at 9A at the first period I taught my LP 25 which was carbonates and by carbonates of the chapter non metals of chemistry and also I showed the innovative work which was a rotating chart model of non metals it was very helpful for the students to study and remember the concepts of non metals.  At noon we went to serve food for students.  I got two substitution period at 8B and 8A which was 3rd and 7th period respectively.  DAY 27( Jan 21) Today I reached the school at 9:15 a.m. and the signed the attendance register. Today I got two periods to take a class at the 8C at 5th period I taught LP 28 which was propagation of sound of the chapter sound of physics. week 4 (02/09/2024 , 24/09 -- 27/09 )

Day 10  I reached the school at 9.00 am and signed the attendance register. Today I got two periods to take class. First and second period at 8C. I took my two lesson plans as part of revision. First period I taught distance and displacement and second period I taught scalar and vector quantities. Afternoon there was no class because from the next day the first terminal examinations will starts. But we leave the school at evening. We were helped the teachers to arrange the class for exams.  Day 11 I reached the school at 9.05 am and signed the attendance register it was the second day after onam vacation. Second period I got a substitution at 9D and also I got a substitution at seventh period at 8C. Sir gave me answer sheets to distribute. Today I didn't get any classes to teach. At noon we went to serve food for students. Day 12 I reached the school at 9.00 am and signed the attendance register. I thought today was a tensionful day . General teacher came to observe our class....
